Rocky Road by Josi S. Kilpack Book Review

Image
Tour Schedule Rocky Road It was supposed to be a girls’ weekend in scenic St. George, Utah that would include shopping, trying out the local cuisine, and participating in a breast cancer fundraiser. The fact that one of the organizers of the fundraising event, a local doctor, disappeared two months ago was not supposed to be Sadie’s problem. In fact, she refuses to participate in the grassroots investigation her friend Caro, and Caro’s cousin, Tess, have put together prior to her arrival. But then she meets the ex-wife of the missing doctor. How could she not ask a few questions . . . that lead to a few more questions . . . that lead to a small town and yet even more questions. Before she knows it, Sadie is in the middle of yet another murder investigation and trying to piece together a convoluted trail of good intentions, hidden motivations, and philanthropy turned big business. Title: Blackmoore Author: Julianne Donaldson Page Count: 276 Genre: Regency Romance Book Brand: A Proper Romance  About Blackmoore Kate Worthington knows she can never have her heart’s desire and so believes she will never marry. But Kate’s meddlesome mother has other plans. Kate journeys to the stately manor of Blackmoore on the cliffs above the seashore, where she must face the truth and the man that has kept her heart captive. Set in northern England,  Blackmoore  is a Regency romance that tells the story of a young woman struggling to learn to follow her heart. With hints of Jane Austen and the Bronte sisters,  Blackmoore  is a page-turning tale of romance, intrigue and devotion. A Good-Lookin' Man by Marcia Lynn McClure Blog Tour

A Good-Lookin' Man by Marcia Lynn McClure (novella) However, in an instant—in less than a breath or the bat of an eyelid—the elusive pepper spray hiding somewhere in her purse was all but forgotten. For standing before her—right there before her, not three feet away—was the best-looking, most gorgeous, handsomest man she had ever seen in all her life! “No, seriously,” she thought out loud with lingering bewilderment at how perfectly stunning the man standing before her was, wearing a worn pair of Levi’s, dusty cowboy boots, and a short-sleeved, plaid-print, snap-up shirt that hung open, revealing a bronzed, perfectly sculpted torso that was simply a mass of muscles. She was so unsettled by the man’s appearance that she wasn’t sure whether she was whispering aloud to herself or her car. Either way, the man asked, “Beg your pardon, ma’am?” “Oh…oh, nothing,” Fairlee said as she began rummaging in her purse again. But the man’s presence and appearance had entirely rattled her.

BIG is Beautiful by Kelly Martin, Blog Tour & Guest Post!

Image
Welcome to Author Kelly Martin!  She is here today on Books Are Sanity to share about her newest release, Big is Beautiful!  Check out this gorgeous cover! I'm so excited to be here and talk about my new book bestselling book, BIG is BEAUTIFUL. Brittany has a big problem (pun intended). She's not the smallest girl in her class which wouldn't be so bad except for Kendra Moses-- beautifully wicked Kendra Moses-- who taunts her about it every day. For her part, Brittany just wants to be invisible. It's working out pretty good for her until her mom signs her up for math tutoring-- and that tutor turns out to be football hunk Matt Taylor. Yeah... I don't see any conflict here either ;) BIG is one of my favorite books. It was honestly the easiest I ever wrote. I never had a Kendra Moses (or a Matt Taylor for that matter), but I was always on the bigger side in high school. I love Brittany's wit and her attitude. I think a lot of people can relate to no

Beyond Broken by Kristin Vayden, Book Review

Blurb: He was searching for hope in a world that had offered him everything. She had the answer...but had lost her heart. How far is too far for love when you find yourself "Beyond Broken"? My Review: WOW!  Seriously, this book took me by surprise and is completely amazing!  This new adult novel was an excellent read!  Yes there was an edge, emotions, angst, drugs and some other things typical of the new adult genre.  But what makes Beyond Broken special and unique is the Christian theme throughout the book.  Is it pushy?  No way.  Is it too much?  Absolutely not!  It is beautifully intertwined into the healing and recovery process that Greyson is going through.  Sophia is a great guide and source of help as Greyson recovers from his addiction.  The love story makes me smile!  Why?  Because it isn't your typical love story.  Hard choices have to be made.  Sacrifices even.  And I loved that Kristin Vayden is bold in today's world and made the statement

He’s all kinds of perfect for her, but the timing couldn’t be worse since she was running from the altar when she left—so the last thing she wants right now is a relationship.  But Skye’s about to discover that no matter how far you run, love can find you anywhere. My Review: I've been reading J. Meyers' books forever and I have absolutely LOVED every one of them. I was really excited for the opportunity to read her first NA book, Anywhere! Anywhere is a story about Skye who goes backpack ing across Europe with her best friend Paige. The only problem is

New Release! Big is Beautiful: A Love Story by Kelly Martin

Image
BIG IS BEAUTIFUL: A LOVE STORY Can Brittany have the night of her life? Or is it all a lie? BLURB: The seven worst words ever spoken came out of Brittany Gregory's mom's mouth at breakfast, "I signed you up for math tutoring." Sure, she probably needs it (probably nothing, she'll fail without it), but the thought of having to stay in that school longer than she had to every day makes her sick. It's not the school's fault... just the few jerks inside. Brittany's tutor is none other than Matt Taylor, senior quarterback-- all around hottie. At first, she's shy around him because, hello, Matt Taylor! But as he shows more and more unexpected kindness toward her, Brittany softens around him. Unfortunately for Brittany, Matt's former girlfriend, the beautifully wicked Kendra Moses, has tormented Britt since eighth grade about her weight. In an unusual moment of brains, Kendra realizes Brittany's initials spell B.I.G.
