Sarah M. Eden is the author of several well-received historical romances, including Whitney Award finalists Seeking Persephone (2008) andCourting Miss Lancaster (2010). Combining her obsession with history and an affinity for tender love stories, Sarah loves crafting witty characters and heartfelt romances. She happily spends hours perusing the reference shelves of her local library.
In this much-anticipated sequel, Kate Macauley finds herself drawn even deeper into the explosive feud between the American farmers and the Irish immigrants in the small Wyoming town of Hope Springs. As Kate struggles with her decision to stay and make a home for herself, two men compete for her heart. But when the violence escalates into a full-scale war, Kate wonders if any of them will be able to survive the winter.
I loved the first book in this series but I have to say that Hope Springs the second book has outdone the first! It is amazing! Sarah Eden has outdone herself with Hope Springs. Eden writes in such a way that the reader feels what Katie is feeling; experiencing every emotion, every heartache, every chill of winter, right along with her! Hope Springs has so much depth, so many layers to the story. It isn't just about finding love, it is about finding out who Katie really is and what difference just one person can make in the face of true adversity. I cried, I laughed, I worried, I smiled, my heart sped up....all signs that this is a masterful story with the power to evoke emotions in the reader. I cannot imagine anyone reading this book and not coming away feeling hope, love and a sense of what is really important in the world. Hope Springs has the power to change the reader for the better, what an amazing ability Eden possesses! Another book I devoured and lost sleep so I could read! Eden has a hit on her hands!
