B log Tour Schedule Book Summary: Asleep on the Hay: A Dust Bowl Christmas by Ben Sowards It’s Christmas Eve when a knock comes at the door of Paul’s family farmhouse. A small family is stranded due to a broken-down truck and seeks shelter for the evening. Paul’s grandfather not only welcomes them in, but offers them dinner and a bed for the night. Even though it is a season of giving, Paul’s heart is not filled with charity. It’s the height of the Dust Bowl and food is scarce. Why should he share what little he has with strangers? Worse, in order to help the sick baby, Paul will have to sell his beloved calf to buy a part to fix the truck. Angry, he retreats to the barn, where he sleeps and dreams of faraway Bethlehem. In his dream, he visits Mary and Joseph, and their newborn son, Jesus. The family offers Paul food and shelter and warmth—extending to him the love and charity he lacks and teaching him of the true meaning of Christmas.

Book Summary:   Five years after his supposed death, Theo King has returned to Graceling Hall...but a mystery remains. A stranger is buried in his grave, and nobody knows if his death was accidental…or murder. As Theo resumes his former life, the dead man’s sister shows up on his doorstep to hold him accountable. If he helps this Irish spitfire solve the mystery, will she finally leave him in peace? My Review: Lord Apollo and the Colleen by SG Rogers This book is the companion novel to the book Larken. I truly enjoyed learning more about Theo and his friends Rowe and Clarissa. Learning Theo's backstory was intriguing and tied everything in the story together!  We got to meet a new character Megan, and man was she fiery and stubborn! I loved her attitude, her spunk and her accent! The kindness of the King family, the bonds of friendship that they shared, it made me want to be a part of their circle! I appreciated the perspective of six year old Myles

Heir to Edenbrooke, by Julianne Donaldson Book Review

Image
Book Summary: In HEIR TO EDENBROOKE: A PREQUEL NOVELETTE ( Shadow Mountain, November 17, 2015 ) Julianne Donaldson takes readers back to the world of Edenbrooke for more intrigue and romance.   Philip Wyndham has never envied his older brother for being the heir to Edenbrooke. He would much rather carve out his own destiny than live under the constraints of that position. But when his older brother dies unexpectedly, Philip's life is turned upside down as duty requires him to give up the life he planned. Philip takes on his new role as the most sought-after bachelor in London with alternating reluctance, boredom, and resentment. But all that changes the night fate leads him to an inn, where he meets the incomparable Marianne Daventry. My Review: Heir to Edenbrooke Donaldson once again has written a beautiful story that pulled me in and would not let me go! This novellette is the prequel to Edenbrooke and is written from Phillip's perspective. I love
