My Review:
Henrie has written an emotional and fascinating tale about Tava and her journey to the Klondike in Canada. Not in search of gold, but in search of her missing and ill father. Their ranch hand Jess went with Tava to help her and to fulfill a promise to her dad. A big part of the journey for Tava was not just going to find her father, but finding herself and her own heart and feelings for Jess. There is a sweetness to the story that I enjoyed and an element of forgiveness that I appreciated. The setting was definitely different and eye-opening for the physical work and effort it took for people to actually reach the Klondike. My favorite part was the historical aspect of this story, I love learning new things about the past. I received a copy of this book for free; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
