My Review;

This collection of American historical romance novels are amazing. Each one is unique and had its own storyline yet follow the theme of dreams in America. I loved reading stories set during early American history. To Love a Spy was captivating! To have two people on opposite sides politically during the revolutionary war made for a dynamic story. I could not put it down. Southern Belle, Yankee Heart takes place during the Civil War. Rebecca is a northern dressmaker stuck in the South. I enjoyed watching her grow and find friendship among others with different views than her own. Where Dreams Meet was my absolute favorite of the four novellas. I read it in one sitting. This story takes place during the first day that Ellis Island opened up for immigration. Watching Jane come to America with absolutely nothing but what she carried with her was inspiring. Her journey was full of surprises and hardship, and I felt connected to her courageous spirit. There is a mystery in this book and it kept me page turning until the very end. The last novella is The Sun, Moon, and Stars which is set during Teddy Roosevelt’s presidency. I truly enjoyed reading about his daughter and her escapades. This story was unique in that it is also addresses the women’s suffrage movement. It gives the reader a unique perspective into what it was like to be a woman and not have a say in what happens around you. I especially felt that Kelly did a great job showcasing how difficult it was for women to have certain jobs. Every single novella was a wonderful read and I absolutely recommend Where Dreams Meet to fans of historical romance! I received a copy of this book for free; all thoughts and opinions are my own.
