Where the Stars Meet the Sea by Heidi Kimball, Blog Tour & Giveaway!!!

Book Summary:

A broken man. A fiery young woman. Neither one's heart will come away unscathed.

Juliet Graham fervently counts the days until her twenty-first birthday, when she can claim the inheritance that will grant her the freedom she has always craved and the guardianship of her younger brother. Until then, she is trapped under her aunt Agnes’s domineering will. When forced to accompany the family to a house party at Shaldorn Castle, Juliet’s only objective is to keep to herself. That is, until a chance encounter with a boorish stranger stirs up an unexpected whirlwind of emotions in her. Thrown off-balance, Juliet does the unthinkable: loses her temper and insults the man—who turns out to be her unwilling host, the Duke of Halstead. Fully expecting to be sent away, Juliet is surprised when the brusque and callous duke instead takes an interest in her.

Drawn to the duke in unguarded moments, Juliet finds herself more and more intrigued by the man who shuns Society’s rules as completely as she does, and over the next few weeks, their unlikely friendship deepens into a connection neither expected.

But even as Juliet comes to recognize her true feelings, her scheming aunt issues an ultimatum that threatens the future she was just beginning to hope for. Juliet must choose: either break the promise she made to herself years ago, or lose the man who has captured her heart and soul.

My Review:

Where the Stars Meet the Sea

I was swept away by this beautiful and emotion-packed world that Kimball created. I could not put this book down, I just couldn’t. I was drawn in by Juliet’s station in life, not quite good enough to be considered for marriage to someone of the upper class, but not quite considered working class. She was beautiful, intelligent, and bold. She was refreshing
and vibrant! And her aunt, man, she was so unkind and I have no idea how Juliet dealt with it with such grace.

The duke was withdrawn, intimidating, yet thoughtful. The two together brought sparks you could feel flying off of the pages! I have highlighted quotes and I never do that with books. The emotional beauty of the story is something that has stayed with me long after I read the last page. I have already recommended this book to all of my book reading friends, this one will win awards. Hands down this is one of the best stories ever told.

Cassie’s would-be killer is still at large, and her search for answers is leading her ever closer to a shocking revelation that will rock the monarchy of Sereno to its core.

My Review:

Everything I have come to know and love about Abramson's books is in Royal Heir and then some! Royal Heir steps it up to the next level with the romance and the complete mystery as to who was trying to kill Princess Cassandra and why they would want to. The chemistry between Cassie and Levi could be felt through the pages! Levi was completely handsome, brave, and protective. He was the one you would want to have protecting you if someone was out to kill you! The mystery was the best part of the entire story, if you think you know who it is, guess again...and again. Abramson doesn't make it easy and kept me wondering until all was revealed. I loved Cassie and Levi's story, and look forward to the next book Abramson writes; it cannot be soon enough!

Read this third book of friendship, loyalty and service as two best friends find their way into love.

Get to know more of the men in the royal prince society, the perks of the wealthy, their games as royals, and their adventures on the Mediterranean.

My Review:

I love books with royals, there is just something the little girl in me loves about them. Summers did a great job writing a romance that stayed clean yet had the sparks flying off the pages between Prince Arlo and Amara!  I loved the giving, kind, and sweet nature of Amara and the steady and loving personality of Arlo. They just seemed to belong together! This is a quick and easy read which is my favorite! An entire story that I just swallowed up whole and I would love to read another! I cannot wait to see what is next in the Royal Prince Society!

The Masked Baron by Anneka R. Walker, Book Review

Book Summary:

Andalin is accustomed to her father’s frequent travels—and to being left behind. So when he returns home and instructs her to pack her belongings, she is bewildered—but there is no time for questions as she is whisked away on a mysterious journey under the cover of night. When their tense flight leads them into the forbidding Black Forest, the pair quickly finds themselves in great peril. With little hope of escape, father and daughter are spared when rescue appears in the form of the mysterious Dark Rider, a notorious deadly highwayman feared by all he meets. But his assistance does not come without a price: he is taking Andalin with him. Now her fate rests in the hands of the enigmatic masked man whose secrets are inescapably tied to the beautiful young woman now in his charge.

My Review:

I loved this unique spin on Beauty and the Beast! It had so many different elements just jam packed into one story! There was action, mystery, intrigue, romance, and magic! Walker weaves a magical story unlike any other fairy tale retelling I have ever read. I enjoyed every moment Andalin took as she tried to unravel who The Masked Rider really was. Ellis was a complete mystery to me the entire time and whenever I thought I had him figured out, Walker would throw something unexpected my way! The entire time I read she kept me guessing, wondering, and throwing me curve balls! The Masked Baron is an outstanding tale and one I highly recommend!
