Endless by Jaclyn Weist, Book Review

Book Summary:

Sydney lives her nightmares every night. While other teenagers are dreaming of boys or traveling to exotic places, she must run a staircase with no beginning or no end, or a terrible debt will never be paid.

Just before her seventeenth birthday, the dreams change. She is no longer alone.

But her nightmares don’t end when she wakes up. Her stepmother and stepsisters threaten to ruin everything she holds dear. She must protect the secret that both she and her father have magic or they will use it to their advantage.

As Sydney learns to control her magic, what seemed impossible before—escaping her stepmother and those ever-present stairs—is now at her fingertips. When she learns the ultimate plan of her evil captor, Sydney must stop her at all costs, or she will forever be trapped inside her nightmares.

My Review:

I picked this up when it was a freebie from Amazon and since I love fairy tale re-tellings, I thought I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by how easily I fell into the rhythm of the story and how engrossed I became with Sydney's life! This is easily one of the most unique spins on Cinderella that I have read! I cheered for Sydney when she made friends easily at camp, I was so happy when her Dad came home and stuck up for her, I was mad FOR her when her step mom and sisters treated her like garbage! When she met Luke I sighed inside for her and her hope for a relationship! And yeah, I kind of wanted to punch her step family when they continued treating her like their personal servant! A modern magical spin on Cinderella, any fans of fairy tales, magic or young love will truly enjoy Endless!

Happy Reading!!!
