Pretending at Love (Greenback Romances #2) by Karen Thornell, Book Review

Book Summary:

A stalker, a Hawaiian wedding, and attraction that should NOT exist between friends.
Friends who are pretending to date, that is.

A random run-in at a restaurant brings high school friends April and Jackson back together. A not so random run-in with April's new stalker starts a VERY short charade of Jackson pretending to be April's boyfriend.
That is, until he needs a date to a destination wedding. And who can say no to a free Hawaiian vacation?

But when feelings beyond friendship start to develop, can these two separate the fake from the real? And if they can... Is it worth the risk?

The second book in the series, Pretending at love is a clean romantic comedy with a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone story.

My Review:

You guys this book is so hilarious and it has sparks flying right and left! I loved how Jackson and April reconnected. He was like a knight in shining armor saving her like that! He was so thoughtful yet he was such a flirt. What a deadly combination! And April was so sweet and a just a little klutzy, but she was so kind and good. Their fake relationship was one rollercoaster ride that I didn’t want to end. It was so good!

Thornell kept the momentum going throughout the book. From one day to the next on their Hawaiian vacation, I was never sure what would happen. From couples’ massages to hiking to a volcano, Thornell kept the action going and the witty banter was a 10+! I absolutely adored this story, it was a laugh out loud, feel good book that I just breezed through. If RomCom is your thing or even if it isn’t, you should grab a copy of Pretending at Love. You will love it!

Happy Reading!!!
